From the 24th of July until the 6th of August artist Barnaby Savage strikes down at Volkshotel. During this period he will work on Kruyzen, an auditory & visual map of Amsterdam that highlights the former gay cruising places that the city used to hold and shares the stories that they hold.

What does it mean to be queer in the jazz realm? A scene that is deemed to be conservative, male-dominated and all about showing your skills when it comes to playing an instrument. During Queering The Jazz, hosts Dave Coenen and Maurice Dharampal will delve into the jazz scene from a queer perspective, and they will implement interviews and research to non-normative icons, tolerance and intolerance, and views on queer jazz in this panel talk.

This exhibition by Sarah Koning and Romy Zwart is all about the concept of duality. Duality which you experience when feeling accepted inside a queer community, but where you gradually become further and further removed from the heteronormative. They present these paradoxal feelings in a series of works in which bright colours play an important role.

LezLinkUp and the Women’s Collective are striking down at Doka for a double event. They start with a presentation of the Queer Collective: a carefully crafted conversational card game, by queers for queers. Afterwards they will dive deep into the night with some amazing performances by angelboy, Regardless, Varuna, Mannish Pixel, Sly Fox and Adam the First.
